Why do I need

pay for an

ambulance?

St John Ambulance & Rescue Service provides the Ambulance Service on behalf of the States of Guernsey through a grant from the Committee for Health & Social Care. The grant is a contribution towards the operating costs of the service with the remaining costs being met through fees and charges and, occasionally specific donations.

Peace of Mind’

The subscription scheme is an internally managed scheme that allows subscribers to benefit from a limited number of emergency ambulance call outs during the calendar year.

In the unfortunate instance where you need an emergency ambulance, we will always be there, but without a subscription you may have to pay up to £562 per call out. (Please note these charges apply per call out even if no hospital conveyance is required). If you have a subscription, its covered. See terms and conditions for full details.
