We are currently recruiting for Emergency Ambulance Crew in the island of Alderney. As Emergency Ambulance Crew, you will be responsible for responding to emergency and non-emergency situations where you will assess and treat patients to your skill level. You will transport ambulatory and non-ambulatory patients when required. You will be responsible for providing high quality, professional and compassionate care for patients and ensuring current clinical practice procedures and requirements are followed. Alderney is one of the smaller Channel Islands with a population of just over 2,000. The ambulance service is a satellite of the St John Ambulance & Rescue Service in Guernsey.

The Medical Director is the organisation’s senior medical adviser and clinical governance lead, providing strategic medical oversight of quality, safety and continuous improvement across SJARS and relevant St John Guernsey Charity clinical activities.

Summary:

To maintain accurate financial records and strong financial controls, manage debt collection and subscription processes, and provide timely reporting, forecasting and financial support to Senior Management, the Treasurer, Executive Team and Board. The post holder will also support finance-related projects, using accounting expertise to improve processes, systems, reporting and financial performance across the St John Ambulance and Rescue Service (the Service).

Transport low dependency, non-emergency patients in a caring and compassionate manner. Ensure patients arrive in good time for medical appointments in line with Service Key Performance Indicators. Undertake administrative tasks to ensure that all NEPTS bookings and enquiries are dealt with in a polite, efficient and timely manner.
