Great article in the

Great article in the Guernsey Press about the life-saving teams on the island of Sark.⬇️⬇️⬇️Being a member of the emergency services is a pretty amazing role in life no matter where you live.

Almost impossible? As Peter Roffey found out on a recent trip to Sark, far from it.

Yesterday, teams fro

Yesterday, teams from across the island’s emergency services took part in a successful major training exercise simulating a fuel tanker fire on the North Side in Vale.

Led by Guernsey Fire & Rescue Service, the exercise brought together crews from Guernsey Police, Guernsey Civil Protection and Ambulance and Rescue to practise and refine multi-agency response procedures. These scenarios are designed to test how effectively we work together when every second counts.

The emergency services are grateful to Channel Island Fuels for their vital role in both the planning and delivery of the exercise, helping ensure everything ran safely and smoothly.

Exercises like this are essential. They allow us to rehearse complex, high risk situations so that we are prepared when a real incident occurs. Practising our joint response helps to save lives.
