Earlier this week to mark the 90th anniversary of the St John Ambulance & Rescue Service Guernsey Museums launched an outdoor exhibition telling our story in words and pictures.
Former staff and supporters gathered at Candie Gardens for the opening of the exhibition - and to share their own memories of the service through the decades.
A big thanks the Matt Harvey and the team at the museum and all those who helped put the exhibition together.

Come and see the floating car at La Couture Inn this Friday evening.
The Monster Meat Draw is supporting the 2026 sailing boat challenge and the bright yellow floating car will be on show at the St Peter Port pub for the evening.
The 2026 challenge is a repeat of an event which took place three decades ago when the same marine ambulance volunteers sailed a converted car to Sark.
Darren Davison, landlord at La Couture said: “I am delighted to help raise funds for the Flying Christine and support the sailing car challenge. This is a cause that is close to my heart as my father, Rene, had a long career with the ambulance service and crewed on both the current Flying Christine III and her predecessor Flying Christine II. When he died his ashes were scattered from the Flying Christine.”
“I am looking forward to hosting the floating car and giving people a chance to see the car up close before it embarks on its challenge later this year,” he added.
