As well as responding to urgent and emergency medical cases we also provide a non-emergency patient transfer service.
Last year we undertook more than 3000 patient transfers.

Did you know - 999 calls are prioritised with a world class medical triage system which ensures that patients receive the most appropriate response.
Not all cases require an ambulance with blue lights and sirens, but the most of our calls are for category 2 cases which are blue light cases.

Every year we respond to around 10,000 calls across emergency and urgent care, and non-emergency patient transfers in Guernsey.
Daily demand can vary with an average of 19 cases a day for the emergency ambulance service, however on our busiest day in 2025 we responded to 34 calls in 24 hours.
